  • The Wrexham AFC PE and School Sport Apprentice Scheme

    The Wrexham AFC PE and School Sport Apprentice Scheme is a collaborative partnership with Wrexham AFC and Achieve More Training, enabling schools to benefit from additional support for PE, extra-curricular sports, improving enrichment opportunities, supporting learning in the classroom, and supporting the school with their wider priorities.     Apprentices recruited into partner schools are qualified at Level 3 as Sports Coaches and Teaching Assistants and are licensed to deliver Wrexham AFC programmes during their placements. Using the power of the Club, Apprentices are supported to enhance learning and increase participation while promoting youth voice, choice, and belonging, and improving pupil engagement, attendance, and attainment.

    While Apprentices gain invaluable hands-on experience and employment on their sport and education career pathway, schools that fund the placement benefit from an innovative, community-focused solution for staffing and pupil enrichment.

We offer individuals in North Wales and Pembrokeshire the chance to kick-start their careers in a variety of roles, whether your starting out or taking the next step in your career.

As well as working with our partners in North Wales and Pembrokeshire, we provide national occupational standard training for apprentices new to these sectors. If you already work in these sectors, we can provide FREE work-based learning to help you make the progressions you’re looking for. We also work with schools and sport/leisure complexes to support you with your recruitment, employment and training needs.
